What Is Cellulite Cupping Therapy?

It’s Summertime which means shorts, bikinis and flowing dresses!
However, you may be hesitant to wear those items because you want to hide the cellulite on your legs, stomach, or butt.
Cellulite is a buildup of fat underneath and can be caused by genetics or be seen easier because of the thickness (or thin-ness) of the skin in the area.
It’s very common in many, and it’s also treatable!
That’s right, you can treat cellulite and tighten the skin with a few Cellulite Cupping treatments.
What Is Cupping?
You probably remember seeing Michael Phelps at the 2016 Olympics with red, circular spots on his back during his competitions.
This sparked major interest in the treatment and had people flocking to their spas, and massage therapists to try it out for themselves.
Little did they know that cupping therapy has been around since the B.C. era!
Cupping Therapy
is a form of Chinese Traditional Medicine that can date back as far as 1500 B.C being used by Egyptian, Chinese and Middle Eastern cultures.
Cellulite Cupping Therapy Process
Cupping therapy is a non-invasive, non-surgical treatment that promotes and stimulates lymph drainage, along with flushing out toxins, fluids and other chemicals.
Glass, plastic, silicone or ceramic cups are then placed on the areas of the body and suction is applied to remove the oxygen underneath the cups to create a vacuum.
The suction pulls red blood cells to the surface to help encourage the drainage process and provide better circulation in the area.
When
treating cellulite, cupping will break up the cellulite in the area, as well as smooth and tighten the skin.
What Is Cellulite Cupping Therapy Like?
You’ll begin by laying on your back or stomach, depending on the areas of the body you’ll be treating.
Your aesthetic professional will massage the areas with an oil or lotion and then begin placing the cups along the area of concern.
They will either heat the cups or use a vacuum to create the suction.
How Long Does Cellulite Cupping Last?
The entire session takes less than an hour from beginning to end, but the actual cellulite cupping treatment lasts up to 20 minutes.
You’ll start out with lower increments of time to build up your body’s stamina to the treatment.
It is recommended that when you start you receive 2 treatments a week for a duration of 5-10 weeks for the most optimal results.
After the initial treatment plan, you’ll enjoy tightened and smooth skin for
2-3 months!
